Sensing the Regina region’s entrepreneurial potential was not fully realized, Regina Regional Economic Development Authority, along with many community partners developed the first business planning competition in the Regina region in 2006. The success of the inaugural event led to the desire and need for an annual competition. The second annual competition was held in 2007 and successfully paved the way for the continuation of the competition in 2008.

The Progress2Capital business planning competition is a business and community led initiative designed to encourage new business start-ups and economic growth in the Regina region. This competition is one of many complimentary initiatives in Saskatchewan designed to encourage and support new business, business growth and an entrepreneurial spirit.

With a focus on mentorship, connecting ideas with capital, and business expertise – the Progress2Capital business planning competition is determined to provide a process from which all participants will be better informed and prepared for business success.

Goal

The goal of Progress2Capital Business Planning Competition is to increase the number of prosperous businesses in the Regina region.
